We are currently looking for an Application Architect for our offices in Brussels.

A day in the life of an Application Architect:

Under the supervision of the Enterprise Architecture & Standards Office, the Architect will assume and/or assist in delivering all tasks related:

Your main duties will be:
• Architecture and design of information systems
• Release Management
• Review of the architecture of existing systems
• Design and development of component architecture and building... blocks
• Analysis of the integration of different information systems
• Data analysis and data modelling
• Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture
• Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers
• Production of software architecture documents
• Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users
• Assistance in the testing, the technical documentation, the deployment, the evaluation and the reporting

Qualifications

If you have:

Master's/Bachelor's Degree and more than 4 years of ICT experience in
• Application Architectures
• Object Oriented Analysis and Design
• Service Oriented Architecture
• UML, BPMN
• Object Oriented Programming languages
• Relational Database Management Systems: Ability to query in native SQL language
• Systems Integration / common application integration protocols
• Interoperability technologies (e.g. web services, message oriented middleware, service bus)
• Experience with web servers configuration (WebLogic or Apache)
• Ability to use the Unix command line
• Experience in release management
• Experience with Cloud technology is an asset (MS Azure, Amazon AWS)
• Good drafting skills
• Good communication skills
• Architecture: Software AG ARIS Architect and Design
• Hosting: Linux and Windows server, Secure Shell (SSH), Shell Scripting and PowerShell Scripting, Jasspr (DG DIGIT tool)
• Application Server: Oracle Weblogic 12, Apache + PHP
• Database Management Sys: Oracle SQL Developer, PL/SQL Developer
• Integrated development environment: Eclipse Foundation Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, JetBrains PhpStorm, Microsoft Visual Studio Code o Atlassian DevOps:
• Bitbucket: Git based source code hosting and collaboration tool
• Bamboo: Continuous integration, deployment, and release management
• Jira Software: Agile software development tool (Plan, track, and release)
• CROWD: single sign-on and identity management tool
• Confluence: knowledge management & project collaboration tool
• GitHub
• Methodologies: Project Management: PM2; Software development: PM2 Agile, SCRUM and Kanban

Technical Certification(s): At least one of the below
• Pivotal Application Architect
• TOGAF
• Open CA
• ArchiMate
• ITIL Master
• Oracle Certified Master
• BPMN 2.0
• OMG Certified Expert in BPM (OCEB)
• IBM Certified Solution Designer Rational SW Architect
