Due to acceleration and the increased volume of live projects at the Yanbu Industrial City Program on the Red Sea Coast, Saudi Arabia Parsons are looking to introduce a Principal Quantity Surveyors to the Construction Support Department.
Responsibilities Carry out material quantity take-off from the design and shop drawings.
Update the schedule of quantities and prices periodically, in order to verify that the... available funds are sufficient for implementing the works elements that are indicated on the design and shop drawings.
Prepare quantity and cost estimates for proposed additional work.
Participate in negotiations with contractor that are associated with additional contract works and change orders.
Participate in the review of contractor's monthly progress and final invoices.
Carry out on-site inspections to verify work accomplishments, if needed.
Carry out Resident Construction Engineer (RCE) responsibilities when requested and during the absence of assigned RCE, for ensuring contractor's compliance with the contract technical requirements.
Qualifications Hold a BSc Degree in Civil Engineering (or similar) from a recognized university Possess a minimum of ten years (10) of post graduate professional experience in Civil Construction with first had exposure to quantity / take-off work, change / variations orders and project cost & schedule analysis.
Have full computer literacy with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Be fluent in written and spoken English.
Additional written and spoken Arabic skills will be seen as an advantage.
