Job Description

MSP is currently recruiting for a Medical Officer for a leading producer of platinum metals in South Africa. The position requires applicants to have a good understanding of Occupational Health and Safety for the Mining industry as well as hold their Diploma in Occupational Health.

The position will entail ensuring appropriate preventative and curative healthcare to all Medical clients, identifying and managing occupational health risks, and treating and managing medical and surgical emergencies.

The following requirements are a prerequisite to be considered for the position:
• MBChB degree essential
• Diploma in Occupational Health
• Active HPCSA registration as a Medical Practitioner
• 4 - 6 years’ experience
• Experience within the mining industry advantageous
• Mine health & safety knowledge
