Nature Of Work
The Staff Accountant II is an integral part of the Accounting and Finance team and helps to ensure that the month-end close and reporting process is as efficient and effective as possible. Under the guidance and supervision of the Accounting Manager, the primary role of the Staff Accountant II will focus on timely and accurate monthly close, financial analysis, and various other projects. Additionally, this role will assist with calculating, posting, verifying, and recording of financial transactions necessary to produce timely and accurate financial statements.
Examples Of Work Performed
• Perform month-end GL close, including account reconciliations for fixed assets, prepaids, goodwill and accrued liabilities.
• Prepare, post and analyze monthly journal entries and reporting.
• Prepare and analyze monthly general ledger account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items timely Prepare well-organized, concise, and well-documented work papers.
• Strong communication skills based upon confidence and respect that allow you to influence others positively and build strong relationships.
• A sense of urgency and desire to proactively solve problems as they arise.
• Support the periodic budgeting/reforecast and annual audit processes Work closely with and support operational departments as needed.
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• Minimum
• Bachelors or Associates degree in accounting, or relevant work experience.
• Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
• Preferred
• 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to acquire or produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards.
Competencies/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Working knowledge of finance and accounting principles and theories.
• Excel at problem solving and detail oriented.
• Excels in a time-sensitive, deadline driven environment with the ability to keep a positive attitude.
• Ability to communicate successfully with people at many levels within the company.
• Microsoft Office experience with particular strength in Excel.
• Proficiency in Great Plains accounting software is a plus.
Compensation
• Base salary range $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per annum
