Job Description
About the Role
The Finance Department is responsible for the financial integrity of the College, including the financial framework, balance sheet, statutory and management accounting, costing and business continuity. The Finance Department is also responsible for the efficient and effective provision of services and support to all financial matters for the college’s internal stakeholders, board and membership. The Assistant Accounts provides support to the Financial Reporting Manager, Transaction Manager and Senior Financial Account to ensure all work under their direction is completed and all deadlines are met.

Key Accountabilities
• Perform month end duties e.g. posting General Journals, data entry etc.
• Balance Sheet General Ledger reconciliations.
• Assist in compilation and analysis of financial information to prepare financial statements for monthly and annual accounts.
• Timely and accurate allocation of daily receipting.
• Maintaining the balance of daily receipts transactions.
• Ensure all payments are made on time for both AU & NZ
• Receive invoices and ensure correct approval authorisation.
• Ensure all invoices are correctly coded and entered in Great Plains

• Accounting degree
• 3 plus years of experience in a similar role
• Ability to meet strict deadlines
• Proficient in MS office product, especially MS Excel
• Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
• Experience dealing with senior management in a professional manner
• Experience in Great Plains accounting system
