Job Summary
Provides secretarial and administrative office support. Performs a variety of clerical duties in accordance with specific instructions and established work procedures, typically under close supervision. Follows written and verbal instructions to accomplish assignments, sometimes of a routine and repetitive nature.
Responsibilities
• Provides administrative support to supervisor or department.
• Prepares correspondence, including composing routine letters and memos.
• Schedules appointments and maintains supervisors or departments calendar.
• Semester class scheduling in CLSS , room scheduling in ASTRA .
• Makes arrangements for meetings and conferences.
• Establishes and maintains confidential files.
• Orders and maintains supplies for department.
• Distributes mail and other supplies for department.
• Provides additional general office support such as greeting and directing visitors, handling incoming calls and processing mail.
• Arranges for building security access
• Coordinates travel and reimbursements
• Processes payments
• Event planning
• Manages building records: lockers, keys, badge access, etc.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency required. Four years full time secretarial experience or equivalency, word processing and spreadsheet software skills and demonstrated human relation and effective communication skills also required.
Knowledge of business writing preferred.
