We are looking for an experienced teacher to support, coordinate and develop the SEND provision and inclusion strategy in our school. Highly committed to quality first teaching, you will work alongside colleagues to develop pedagogy that will effectively support all learners. You believe there should be no limits placed on achievement and you can develop a culture where teachers embrace their responsibility regarding the outcomes for every child. You will have good knowledge of academic and diagnostic assessment procedures and effective intervention programmes to ensure that all learners thrive and make good progress. This is a wonderful opportunity for an outstanding practitioner to work alongside our support team in an environment of professional autonomy and trust, supported by a forward-thinking senior leadership team. You will also demonstrate that you are an excellent classroom practitioner.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide a relevant and supportive learning experience for all students

· Develop innovative pedagogical approaches highlighted in planning and teaching and learning strategies

· Develop and deliver (or support the delivery of) time limited interventions and evaluate their impact

· Provide critical analysis of the progress, intervention, and achievement of all children

· Work with the community to develop good relationships between parents and school

· Ensure students are cared for in a happy, safe, and stimulating environment

· Maintain accurate formative and summative assessment records that link to all learning

· Build and develop trusting and supportive relationships that increase parental engagement and enhance the learning experiences of children

Essential:

· Qualified Teacher Status

· At least four years’ experience as an outstanding school practitioner in a UK or international school

· Up-to-date knowledge of excellent quality first teaching and strategies that support engagement and progress for all children

· Strong working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice

· Excellent communication skills

· Ability to lead on professional development of colleagues and equip them to support the learning of students with individual learning needs

· Excellent knowledge of teaching, learning and assessment

· A team player, skilled at supporting, motivating, and engaging staff to drive progress and achievement

· Experience of using formative assessment systems to evaluate the curriculum offer

· Commitment to continued personal and professional development

Desirable:

· A SEND qualification and knowledge of its application in an international setting

· A vision for outstanding provision across all year groups of the secondary school

· A secure understanding of an evidence-based, contextually driven school improvement cycle

· Ability to teach maths or science to KS4
