Description
Summary
The Safety and Compliance Manager will develop, coordinate, and implement occupational health policies and procedures to promote and ensure effective safety operations in the organization. Additionally ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local licenses company wide.
Essential Functions
• Collaborates with local management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules
• Ensures completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting, in partnership with HR
• Provides technical and administrative support to safety committee members across the company
• Stops operations and activities that could harm employees
• Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems
• Conducts employee training on applicable safety standards
• Reviews safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates
• Directs local management to conduct safety inspections and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations
• Reviews accidents and incidents reports
• Research all new states for license requirements
• Review and understand current state license and certification requirements
• Work with local Project Manager’s and Branch Coordinator’s to ensure compliance with federal, state and local licenses from a company perspective
• Other relative duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
• Current and valid US driver’s license required
• At least 5 years of experience in similar position
• Ability to travel 50% of the time
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• OSHA 30 Certification
• OHSA 500 and 501
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
• Extensive knowledge of current company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in technology and equipment used in environmental inspections
Physical Demands

The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hand to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment
This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May occasionally require driving to project sites.
