The role of an Associate in IB Coverage for Switzerland would be to assist on execution, marketing and coverage of Swiss large and midcap companies across M&A;, equity and debt capital markets as well as acquisition finance with other colleagues from the Swiss team, as well as colleagues from various industry, other country and / or product teams across EMEA and globally. You will have strong function skills in the major areas of investment banking and will demonstrate the ability to become a senior officer who is capable of generating and executing his/her own transactions. Key responsibilities As an Associate in IB Coverage for Switzerland, your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: - Supporting on execution, marketing and coverage work across industries - Research and analysis of market data and companies - Supporting preparation of client presentations - Performing valuation analyses (e.g. based on multiples, DCF, LBO, etc.) - Building detailed and complex... financial models - Executing transactions from pitch to close (e.g. public and private mergers, acquisitions and divestitures across all industry sectors, equity capital markets advisory on various types of capital raising transactions such as listings and rights issues across Switzerland, etc.) - Leadership role in execution functions and in working with analysts, incl. supervising the work performed by analysts on certain of the aforementioned tasks Qualifications: - Relevant full-time Investment Banking or Corporate Finance experience - Excellent analytical skills, with high level of attention to detail - Very strong financial modelling / valuation skills - Strong knowledge about the transaction cycle of relevant investment banking products - Comfort in and commitment to a strong teamwork environment - Excellent organizational and communication skills - Ability to work self-directed and independently and to multitask on numerous assignments - Being adaptable, flexible and resilient - Strong academic background - Fluency in German and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills J.P.
