Job Type Permanent Occupational Function Support / Admin Number of Positions 1 Annual Salary Package (incl. Medical Aid rate based on principal member only) To be confirmed Advert Closing Date 24/2/2023 Job PurposeTo provide planning, controlling systems and implementing policies and strategies for the maintenance of buildings and equipment whilst... optimizing the interface with end-users. The position also supports preventive maintenance as a strategy in maintaining University facility and utility systems, components, and equipment by assisting in the development, administration, and monitoring of preventive maintenance programs.

Job Knowledge, Skills and ExperienceA B.Sc./BTech Degree in the Built Environment and/or Engineering

At least five (5) years' relevant experience

Computer literacy (MS Office)

A valid driver's licence

Key Performance Areas / Principal AccountabilitiesEnsure that the Maintenance Plan is executed

Update and maintain the Maintenance Plan

Ensure that the Standard Costing Process is in place and kept updated Manage service providers

Establish budgets for Reactive and Planned Maintenance

Manage budgets

Ensure that maintenance of buildings/land is in compliance with relevant standards

Inspection of buildings to ascertain any faults

Performing regular inspections of equipment and supplies

Perform appropriate administration duties

Ensure that safety measure are observed & report health and safety issues

Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Maintenance Manager
