About the role
Due to continual growth within are support services we are currently looking to recruit for a... Support Time Recovery Worker for our site based at Oak Paddock in Shrewsbury. Oak Paddock is a 4 bedded Crisis House based in Racecourse Lane, close to the Redwoods Centre. The remit is to support the Operational Lead and the Team in providing therapeutic support to those referred by the Crisis Team and Community Mental Health Teams. .
Working in a mental health crisis house it is essential and important that all mandatory training is up to date and staff have the skills to support in challenging situations that may arise. Training will be provided to the successful candidate to equip them with the skills and knowledge of working within a fast-paced environment. Candidates will preferably hold a Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care though experience will also be considered, and full training given, and it is important that the successful candidate understands mental health legislation.
Hours are 37.5 a week and you will be working to a 3-week rolling rota which includes every third weekend off, average of 1 sleep a week and shift patterns.
About You
Provide support to guests and to ensure the smooth running of the service under the guidance of the team supervisor/manager

• Prepare and cook simple but nutritious meals
• Able to work flexibly within a 24hr Rolling Rota system, which will include weekend working and sleep in shifts

Good working knowledge of Microsoft IT applications

To support customers in preparations to move on from Oak Paddock, liaising with care coordinators, crisis team, social workers, and other care providers.
Staff must maintain the confidentiality of all customers and any staff information they become aware of.
Please note that Oak Paddock is not nursing, or residential home and support staff do not provide personal care or medication services.
