Job Summary:

The State of Arizona is looking for a full time Senior Lead Applications Developer to lead design and development of a highly visible and time critical development efforts. These projects will include gathering business requirements, system design, development, testing and implementation. This role requires the individual to be self motivated and proactive as a key member of a small team. This is a 100% remote position and candidates from Arizona are preferred. We do not provide worker Visa support.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience developing in a Microsoft environment.
• 5+ years’ experience in .NET C#.
• 5+ years’ experience writing queries and stored procedures using Microsoft SQL Server.
• 5+ years’ experience writing interactive web applications using Microsoft technologies.
• 5+ years’ experience in ASP.NET and ASP .NET Core.
• Demonstrated experience with HTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, JQuery.
• Proven experience with XML, XSL, JSON, SOA, SOAP, WebAPI and/or Web Services.
• Confirmed expertise delivering large, complex projects with heavy business requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of object-oriented design and development.
• Ability to work closely with staff at all levels throughout the entire process.
• Azure DevOps experience.
• Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Selective Preference(s):

The ideal candidate will also have the following skills:
• Azure application development.
• Azure migration experience.
• Azure certifications.
• Government experience a plus.
• Elections application development a BIG plus.

Retirement:

State employees are required to participate in the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), the State sponsored retirement contribution plan and the Long-Term Disability (LTD) program after a 27-week waiting period.
