Experis are working with a large scale Marine organisation who are within the Public Sector looking for a Project Manager within Archives Management.

The role of a Project Manager is very varied but crucial in all aspects of the change lifecycle. Fundamentally they will project manage and lead a team to deliver the archive projects which may range from collection conservation and cataloguing; document production for internal and external enquiries; responding to enquiries; delivering a programme of digitisation; and achieving Archive Accreditation. The individual will have to manage staff resource and the use of archival software. A... project management qualification is essential, as is experience of working in an archive/museum environment.

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential:
• Project Management qualification
• Experience of working in archive/museum environment
• Excellent IT and organisation skills
• Excellent communication and literacy skills
• Experience of staff management

Desirable:
• Post Graduate qualification in Archives Management / Administration
• Understanding of cataloguing software
• Knowledge of cataloguing requirements and standards
• Experience of managing specialist cartographic records
• Understanding of digital preservation
• Experience of presenting to senior executives
