Overview

The RN in the Outpatient Child & Adolescent Program is responsible for the provision of comprehensive child and adolescent psychiatric nursing care within a interdisciplinary team. Duties include assessment of children and adolescents and their families, treatment and disposition planning.

Education
• Registered Nurse with current certificate of Registration issued by the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• BScN preferred

Qualifications
• Recent ER crisis, urgent care, and ongoing individual, group, and family therapy experience required.
• Recent experience with serious mental illness and high risk child and adolescent patients required.
• Demonstrated motivation to pursue educational goals.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a highly skilled interdisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated ability to implement plan of care including independent and interdependent nursing functions.
• Demonstrated ability to participate in program quality initiatives and measurements including... the collection of workload statistics.
• Demonstrated understanding of accountability based practice.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good work and attendance record required.
