Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Trust (BHRUT) hospitals have an exciting opportunity for a Highly Specialist Physiotherapist to work across their hospitals as a part of their devoted reablement team within the Acute Frailty Therapy Team.

BHRUT’s main hospitals, King George Hospital in Goodmayes and Queen’s Hospital in Romford, offer exceptional physiotherapy and rehabilitation support for their patients. Their Impressive Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy Service provides accessible expert physiotherapy assessment and evidenced based treatment to all patients with musculoskeletal problems, and their Women’s Health Physiotherapy Services specialise in providing expert therapy for antenatal, postnatal and pregnancy related pain.

This is a superb opportunity for a Highly Specialist physiotherapist to refine specialist skills... and work alongside some of the most expert physiotherapists in the country. This role is ideal for someone with robust knowledge in physiotherapy, who values providing top-quality patient care as greatly as they value gaining invaluable skills from working alongside some of the UK’s leading physiotherapists.

Main Duties Include But Are Not Limited To
• Providing specialist standard Physiotherapist service to patients within the acute elderly/medical service with a special focus on the acute assessment areas and the Emergency Department, facilitating and maximising patient potential within the service boundaries using a holistic approach.
• Giving highly specialist guidance, advice and education to other members of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) on matters relating to your specialist area.
• Contributing to the running and development of the service through the promotion, adaptation and development of policies, procedures and guidelines using evidence-based practise.
• Undertaking supervision, mentoring and performance development plans to promote clinical and professional effectiveness of self and others.This includes performance management, management of disciplinary issues in liaison with Therapy Manager

Important Requirements
• Degree/Diploma in Physiotherapy and HCPC registered
• At least 6 months NHS experience in that last 3 years
• Strong clinical knowledge, good initiative, and an ability to stay calm and work efficiently under pressure
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Honesty and integrity, and a caring approach to patients
