Are you a motivated Paediatric physiotherapist looking to step up to a clinical specialist role? Or an established Band 7 looking for a new challenge? Due to new funding an exciting opportunity has arisen within SWFT to support with the paediatric provision in South Warwickshire.
Your role will involve the establishment and delivery of a day to day physiotherapy service on our Paediatric ward and support with admission avoidance work with a focus on children with respiratory conditions. Outpatient clinics will also form part of the role. This will involve building close links with the community paediatric team and other service providers.
Working closely with the adult physiotherapy team leads you will lead on the paediatric component of the on call training competencies and ensure this service meets the needs of patients.
You will be supported to develop you clinical and non-clinical skills through peer supervision and access to training.
There is a requirement to participate in... the out of hours' service helping to provide cover at weekends and Bank holidays. This includes overnight on call.

To plan, co-ordinate, deliver, manage and provide clinical leadership to a high quality Physiotherapy service focussed on the provision to children admitted to the Paediatric ward and the wider Children’s services at SWFT.
To ensure the service is efficient and evidenced based.
To provide a source of highly expert specialised knowledge in Paediatric Physiotherapy.
Provide a highly specialist, high standard Physiotherapy service, assessing and advising on patients care and treatment, as an autonomous practitioner within the defined patient group.
Be a clinical lead for therapy staff across the service area providing clinical advice and training, and liaising with other appropriate Therapy leads to ensure an integrated service is provided for the service area.
Provide support and advice for the continuous development, co-ordination and evaluation of the Paediatric pathways (therapy and trust pathways).
Provide a source of expert clinical opinion within the field of Paediatrics for therapy staff and other health care professionals both internal and external to the Trust.
Provide knowledge and expertise on the Physiotherapy assessment and management of Paediatric in and out patients.
