The role and key areas of responsibility:

As a Cloud Architect or Cloud Engineer your main responsibility will be as an owner and architect for one or more key areas of our public cloud managed services. You will play a leading technical role in the development and maintenance of our Public Cloud Platform, designing new solutions and products, driving innovation and development internally. The more seniority – the more responsibility.

Our Cloud Center of Excellence has an agile mindset and way of working, and you need to have the capability and desire to work the same way. You will be the go-to expert and point of contact for Cloud teams and customers seeking technical guidance at various stages of their cloud journey.

Cloud Engineer/Architect AWS

Years of relevant work experience will decide whether you are an engineer or an architect.

Responsibilities:

• Create the next cool Public Cloud Service

• Develop Services for Operations, but not to perform Operational services (Dev4Ops)

• Make sure Public Cloud is a success in Orange Business

• Creating excellent secure services with quality in mind

• Development of serverless architectures, container-based solution, CI/CD-pipelines, event driven frameworks

• Building services using the latest technology offered by Public Cloud Providers

Background:

• Relevant higher education or working experience.

• You are a software developer or an experienced AWS cloud practitioner.

• Preferably certified on Amazon Web Services as Associate or Professional Architect, but it’s not a requirement.

• Worked with either software development or operational services.

• Relevant working experience can compensate for lack of formal education.

Technical skills:

• Experience with one or more programming languages like Python, Ruby or similar.

• Infrastructure tools/languages such as Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK.

• Understanding the concept of Object Oriented programming.

• Practice test driven development.

• Database experience within SQL and/or key/value stores.

Personal skills:

• You get excited by working with new technologies and keeping your knowledge up-to-date

• You love working in an agile team in a no blame culture

• You love automating tasks as opposed to repeating them

• You are self-driven and comfortable with making decisions

The position will be based out of one of the Orange Business offices so we are looking for someone already based in Sweden, Norway or the Netherlands. Kindly note that we are not able to offer support for relocation.
