2294669 Ontario Ltd on behalf of Odawa Stone Limited Partnership, herein after, "Odawa Stone", is seeking a self-directed and self-motivated individual to execute the position of General Manager for its dimension stone quarry production with a focus on marketing and sales.
This individual will implement/develop Odawa Stones policies, procedures and maintain a safe working environment for all of its employees.

The General Manager is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of quarry operations are carried out efficiently with the overall goal of producing a profit for the company.

The General Manager will oversee all operations, both on site and in the office, and include managing employees, coordinating production, ensuring equipment is operated efficiently and safely, as well as monitoring inventory and sales of the operations.
The General Manager will report directly to the Board of Directors of Odawa Stone.

Qualifications:
• Specialize in Marketing and Sales of Dimensional... Stone and aggregate
• Surface Miner Certificate Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities; Experience in Mining
• Surface Miner Certificate Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities; Experience in Mining
• University/College Diploma could be considered an asset(Business Administration, Marketing, Mining Engineering and/or Human Resources);
• Management and human resources experience;
• Proven experience presenting analytical and technical data;
• Experience in sales and marketing;
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills;
• Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook;
• Class G driver's license

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reporting to the Odawa Stone board of directors regularly;
• Developing links with local groups and organizations;
• Managing and regulating the quarry's budget;
• Maintaining uptodate records and ensuring that government health and safety and proper Ontario mining legislation are implemented throughout the site;
• Keeping up to date with relevant government legislation and industry developments;
• Developing inspection systems and checklists;
• Writing development proposals and reports;
• Tendering and quoting
• Facilitating recruitment, selection and training of staff and supervisory positions;
• Up keep of compliance reporting and permits with appropriate ministries;
• Other related duties as required

On site, activities may include:
• Closely monitoring all areas of the quarry to ensure that extraction and processing work is carried out to the highest standard;
• Liaising with staff on site and dealing with any technical or staffing challenges that arise;
• Undertaking regular site inspections and risk assessments in order to comply with all health and safety regulations;
• Examining the materials produced to ensure that a high quality of product is maintained;
• Assessing equipment and production materials levels;
• Ensuring that all equipment and vehicles on site are maintained to a good standard
