Job Summary

The Assistant Accountant will play a key part in ensuring that supplier invoices are entered into the accounting system in a timely manner. The individual will assist with reconciling vendor statements to the AP subledger, making payments to vendors, as well as reviewing and analyzing expense account entries (where required). He/she will serve as the main point of contact for the Finance Department for internal stakeholders as well as vendors.

To be successful at this position, you should understand key accounting principles, and be proficient with computers and software such as Microsoft Office, QuickBooks and/or MS Dynamics GP. The ideal candidate will have general accounting knowledge, will be process oriented and have a career/growth mindset.
