TRANSLATOR JOB BRIEF

We are looking for a highly regarded translator who will primarily be responsible for interpreting written and spoken material from English to Mandarin (and vice versa, when needed) as well as aid in the daily administrative duties for the Company. This individual will essentially provide top support to managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to translation, organization and ensuring efficient operation of the office. Additionally, to stress, the translator will interpret between English and Chinese languages, making sure to maintain their original meaning, format and tone. The English-Mandarin interpreter will be a part of the expansion program in Asian countries including the Philippines.

Description:

•Conducts business, cultural and technical research as required by the team (if necessary)

•Ensure translated content conveys original meaning and tone. Provides written interpretation/translation/editing of reports, documents, letters... agreements and correspondence between English and Mandarin Chinese. •Execute general clerical and administrative tasks that may be assigned (if necessary)

•Provide oral interpretation/translation services in meetings, normal conversations or conference calls.

Requirements: Qualification

•Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree

•Proven work experience as a Translator, Interpreter or similar role

•Fluency in English in addition to your native language-Chinese (ability to communicate safely and effectively in English and Chinese.)

•Excellent proofreading skills with the ability to identify grammar, spelling and punctuation errors

•Time-management skills

•Attention to detail and problem solving skills
