What You Will Do In Your Role

1.

Design new mould for injection & over moulding for renewal or new product launching, in cooperate with product design & global ME. Follows Product Development Procedure and make sure tooling development on right way

o Participates in product design review and DFMEA discussion to ensure the moulding and mass production feasibility; provide proposal design for possible improvement based on mould flow analysis.

o Works with project management to identify mould developing schedules based on the risk assessment of mould development.

o Design full mould concept / structure to meet product requirement & mould machine specification (Cycle time estimation, mould layout, parting line, gate, insert, slider, lifter, draft angle, ejector pin, cooling line…) 3D/2D

o Select right material for mould insert, define shrinkage rate…, to ensure product quality & die long life.

o Leads mould design review detailing on... required design work; ensures the manufacturing feasibility for each detail of mould.

o Prepares CAD models which cover details layout and assemblies of new mould or revised mould

o Design detail mould die part & break down to DWG for tooling process

o Apply new technology to make new mould (CPS, hot runner, double injection, over-moulding …)

o Apply improvement from production feedback to new mold

o Takes challenge for the complicated mould design

2.

Leads new mold build up & quality verification

o New molds build up planning. Work with tooling processing team to fabricate mold, insert

o Leads tool builder technician to assembly new mold

o Co-operate with molding process engineer to trial & analyze issue to find out cause & solve problem of new molds, leads the mold debug (including critical dimensions review, FAI disposition…) until the mold is qualified and transfer to mass production.

o Define necessary things for MP & work with molding production to prepare it (sub-equipment, chucking…)

o Cooperate with mold process engineer to review cycle time and define the improvement.

3.

Continue improvement

o Continue improvement for quality up, productivity up by apply new technology to current mould die

o Join activities to improve ability & performance of Mould die during MT/MP

o Co-operate with moulding process engineer to analyse issued of part and finding method to improvement spare part long life, extend die long life

o To modify & design change for mould to able run expandable die or when have ECN update

4.

Work with mould maker in case making mould at vendor

o Do DFM for new tool, design review…,

o Support supplier to design & trial new mould

o Tooling specification check before transfer

The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
• At least 3 years experiences in injection mold or over mold design
• Have ability to design detail injection molding for fabrication
Dong Nai Vietnam (+2 others)
