JOB SUMMARY

We are Liroi. A tier-one Investment firm based in Nairobi, with a global outlook and a balanced emphasis on socially and environmentally beneficial sectors including consumer products, services, alternative energy, green building, health & wellness, and retail.Our firm invests in sectors with strong triple-bottom returns and we invest up to $3M per company.We are keen to onboard a Senior Finance Analyst to support with financial model reviews, financial modeling, and valuations across our portfolio as well as supporting with business restructuring assignments and lastly, business development including... preparation of proposals, for Banks & other capital partners.As an ideal candidate, you will play a dual role as Group CFO and Senior Finance Analyst. You should be proactive in evaluating investment opportunities, perform well under pressure, possess creative and analytical abilities, and can adapt your thinking to quickly evolving scenarios.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for group financial reporting and performance reporting to relevant stakeholdersAnalyzing financial data, creating and maintaining complex financial models for integration into decision-making processesCarrying out analysis of investment opportunities through market research, in-depth financial analysis, financial modeling, and valuationsDriving organic and inorganic growth across our portfolio and this entails operational excellence through aligning on strategy with the Board, considering key partnerships/M&A opportunities, and raising capital across both structured credit and equity avenues.Compiling financial data into reports for other team members and stakeholders.Managing the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring operating costs and operational efficiencies are considered, and performance trade-offs assessedAnalyzing previous investment decisions and generating key takeaways.Conducting due diligence on potential investments, including analyzing market trends, and assessing the risks and potential returns of each investment.Portfolio Performance Management: Monitoring performance, and making adjustments to the portfolio as needed - to achieve our short and long term investment objectives across metrics, such as returns, volatility, and liquidity.Compliance: Ensuring that our firm complies with all relevant regulations and internal policies. This includes maintaining accurate records, conducting periodic audits, and reporting to regulatory bodies.RequirementsA bachelor's or Master's degree in General Finance, Corporate Finance, or Accounting.At least 3 years of working experience in a similar role.Strong mathematical and numerical skills.Proficiency in data collection and analysis.Excellent research and writing abilities.A flair for statistics and data manipulation.Must have a deep understanding of the key levers of financial health at a Macro Level(including but not limited to Revenue Growth, Profit Margin, Cashflow, Operating Expenses, and Debt-to-equity ratio)Confident presentation abilities.Experience in working with and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersExperience in carrying out due diligence ideally relating to obtaining structured debt or securing equity injectionThorough understanding of financial analysis, investment strategy, and portfolio management.Interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure.A team player who can work independently
