Acharya Institutes is seeking a Web & Graphic Designer to work closely with our marketing team to continuously manage our online presence and create effective tools for interaction between the company, our customers.

The candidate will work regularly with both marketing and product development teams to design, refine, and implement digital marketing materials and some print materials for our courses, and to support our existing branding and print materials.

We are looking for someone who speaks the language of the web; not only the Javascript, HTML, and CSS that tie it together, but also the connections between people and communities that make it such an effective platform for building a movement. This person should be motivated, reliable, thorough, and excited about developing web platforms and content for products with the potential to improve lives across a wide range of places and cultures.

Finally, the candidate should demonstrate a strong knowledge of best... practices and industry-standard software. Candidate should be able to operate with a high degree of autonomy, but be a clear, candid, and effective communicator in both spoken and written English.

Responsibilities:

The Web & Graphic Designer, working closely with marketing and product development teams, will be responsible for the development and maintenance of our web content, digital marketing materials, and platforms for interacting with our worldwide community, including our website, blog, social media groups, and video channels.

The candidate will work with our marketing team to create branding and print materials, packaging, and supporting documents for company products. She/he will coordinate and manage relationships with consultants and vendors, oversee print production, and manage all company-generated visual data.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors or equivalent degree in Web Design, Graphic Design, or related discipline and 3+ years work

experience in a related field.

- Deep understanding of HTML/CSS/Javascript and modern web design principles.

- Proficiency working with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign)

- Familiarity with PHP.

- Strong writing skills

- Experience with Wordpress is a plus.

- Experience with video editing a plus

- Proficiency in English.
