Title: Legal Manager

Reporting to: Senior Manager of Corporate Planning

Location: Taipei

Responsibilities
• Drafting, reviewing, commenting and proof-reading company’s legal and commercial contracts and documents
• Handle various types of agreements in English and Chinese (desirable)
• Manage all legal matters and documentations and resolution of legal matters related to governance etc.
• To be consultant to the business while formulating strategy with a keen eye on competition and changing business environment.
• Participate in business negotiation including investment, banking, leasing, major purchasing, etc., and provide legal advices on legal implications and risk assessment;
• Recommend, appoint and manage external legal counsels (including selection, negotiation on fees, engagement and monitoring / assessing their performance periodically as per company purchasing guidelines and professional services standards;
• Advise HR function relating to employee issues and handle... employee disputes / government tribunal / lawsuit cases;
• Represent Legal department in coordinating with various internal departments in ensuring excellent cross departmental cooperation and operation efficiency of the company.
• Develop, supervise and motivate the Legal team to ensure high quality of work, good internal customer services, and talent strength.

Qualification
• Degree in law and more than10 years of legal experience
• Minimum 3 years in a similar position in a sizable company
• Ability to draft contracts in English and Chinese
• Experience in influencing various department Head
• FMCG, retail, and consumer goods industry a plus
