The Role – Maintenance Engineer Must be German and based in country or also open to Expats and Ex Royal Elec/Mechanical Engineers who still reside in Germany.

Job Title and Description

Main function: Conduct general maintenance of mission-critical electrical and data installations by carrying out quarterly Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMI’s) and ad-hoc visits when required to maintain the grounds.

Reports to: Projects Manager

Place of work: Germany (1 base in the Central Northern Region, 1 base in the Southern Central Region). (Our sites are spread across Germany but looking at the Geography and our SLA of 4hrs to site, suggested bases are Hannover and Nurnberg.

Hours of Work: The Maintenance Operative will work on a rotational basis alongside an additional Operative to carry out PMI’s and provide callout cover, 24hrs per day... 7 days a week. Split between teams based on 1 month rota.

Role responsibilities:
• Conduct Quarterly Planned Maintenance Inspections (PMI’s) on all sites in the designated area of responsibility to include, but not limited to:
• Site DC Rectifier System
• Upkeep and maintenance of Generators – topping up oil, fuel, radiator fluids
• Check status of the Fire Suppression System
• Maintain fire extinguishers
• Changing and maintaining light bulbs
• General cleaning of containers/work units
• Site integrity
• General cleanliness of the Site
• Receive incoming telephone calls from the Operations Support Team and dispatching to investigate site issues where required
• Carry-out fault finding (with remote support if required) when dispatched to site on an emergency call-out, this includes any power failures and leakages
• Update PMI with site fault repairs and issues
• A Company vehicle will be provided, the Maintenance Operative is responsible for ensuring the vehicle maintenance schedules are adhered to.
• BCPML will provide a toolkit, the Maintenance Operative is responsible for ensuring all tools remain in good working order and any required replacements are notified to BCPML Project Manager.
• Attend any ongoing training, as required
• Any other reasonable duties which may be requested by BCPML Management from time to time.
• Full Telephone support provided as and when a fault arises 24/7.
