Clients need our help with building a desired image on the job market, and we... Well, we need somebody to help us help them, which is why we’re looking for a new addition to our Employer Branding unit. Their role? Creating art directions and visual identity guidelines for our clients’ employer brand.

About the team and the job

Degordian is an always curious strategic-creative digital agency.

Our agency has four offices with over 100 curious and hardworking marketing enthusiasts in Zagreb, Mostar, Belgrade, and New York!

The mission of our Employer Branding unit is to help clients build a better image as an employer. Our vision is to become the go-to employer... branding agency, providing regional and global companies a wide range of services and supporting their HR teams along the way.

Our newest colleague would be working with other members of the Employer Branding team, and primarily handling the visual aspect of our employer branding process.

The main role of the Brand Designer would be creating the art direction/visual identity that helps our clients tell the story of who they are as an employer. The art direction should always be aligned with the existing corporate visual identity, but fully adapted for the purposes of employer branding. Besides employer branding strategy, our unit also creates recruitment marketing campaigns, proposes new solutions for career websites, improves and redefines internal communication strategies. And strategy is nothing without execution — that’s where you come into play and make our projects come to life.

Some examples of our work: the visual solution for PSK’s employer branding strategy, and our recruitment marketing project for Croatia Control.

As you can see, there’s variety, but we consider that the coolest part of the job. Your qualifications
• BA or MA degree (preferably Graphic Design)
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in similar positions
• Excellent knowledge of Croatian (C2) and English language (B2), both written and spoken
• Excellent knowledge of design principles
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
• Excellent knowledge of visual guidelines for social media platforms (particularly Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter)
• Good organizational skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Good knowledge of typography
• Creative mindset
• Interest in graphic design
• Interest in digital marketing
• Interest in branding
• Up-to-date with current design trends

Bonus points
• Agency experience
• Knowledge of UI design
• Knowledge of Lightroom, After Effects, and/or InDesign

Your day-to-day
• Creating art directions (for clients’ employer branding)
• Creating visual guidelines (brandbooks for clients employer branding)
• Designing online and offline materials
• Creating illustrations
• Designing infographics, presentations, online brochures, and e-books
• Working on video projects (storyboarding for motion graphics and live-action videos)
• Editing photos
• Presenting your visual solutions to clients
• Participating in creating internal/promo material for the Degordian Employer Branding Unit
• Participating in brainstormings and proposing creative solutions within your field of work
• Cooperating with other team members
• Researching and studying trends in design & employer branding; sharing the knowledge and ideas with colleagues.
