An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Payroll Accounting Finance Manager to join the Lendlease Australia team in a permanent full-time position.
Reporting to the General Manager Finance Australia you will manage the delivery and co-ordination of our payroll accounting function, which includes timely, accurate, efficient and informed reporting. The above is to be delivered in accordance with company policies, applicable accounting standards and in compliance with legislative requirements. You will also lead the testing of the payroll accounting from the new payroll system (Preceda) to the finance system (Oracle).
The Payroll Accounting Finance Manager Role Includes
• Coordinating payroll accounting activities and reporting across payroll, MDM, Offshore teams, Finance Systems, ICT and business customers and ensures delivery to the timetable and requirements
• Working closely with and providing guidance to the Offshore team to ensure deliverables are met
• Regular... engagement with the business customers to ensure their requirements are met
• Costing of salaries and wages from the payroll system (current Ramco) to the Oracle finance system
• Reconciliation of payment files to Oracle
• Clearing accounts reconciliation and providing support for the leave and on-cost accruals
• Reviewing reports
• Identify areas for process improvement and automation
• Manage and execute payroll accounting testing and parallel runs of the new payroll system, including reconciliation of Oracle results from data received from current and new payroll system
Required Skills And Experience
• Detailed knowledge and experience in accounting and reporting
• Experience in payroll accounting
• Working knowledge of key payroll drivers affecting individuals (e.g. awards, leave entitlements etc) and organisation costs (e.g. payroll tax, workers comp etc)
• Experience in system implementation testing and parallel runs
• Problem solving, trouble shooting and analytical skills with the ability to work through complex issues
• CA/CPA qualifications (or equivalent)
Preferred Skill And Experience
• Experience and understanding of the General Ledger and the Project Ledger in Oracle
To be successful in this role you will be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and displaying a high level of initiative. Your ability to pick things up quickly, work in a team environment with both Onshore and Offshore team members, as well as demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels are also key. You will have an excellent eye for detail, as well as having strong organizational skills with an ambitious and proactive attitude towards your work. Your personal skills will be complemented by a customer service approach and the ability to reliably deliver quality outcomes in a timely manner
