Job Description

Venator is recruiting for a Commercial Buyer, with a focus on direct materials, to be located at Wynyard. The Commercial Buyer will lead the sourcing activity for raw materials across their EAME site footprint.

The role will provide category and market knowledge, procurement expertise and understand the sites’ requirements. This role will also deliver cost reduction and avoidance, contribute to increasing cash flow and secure supply of raw materials to the sites.

Job Responsibilities Include
• Develop purchasing strategy for allocated categories based on solid knowledge of the markets (suppliers, trends, benchmarks, TCO); source new suppliers and materials; identify and select the best partners for Venator; lead implementation in cooperation with sites; manage supplier relationships
• Tender, negotiate and implement price agreements and contracts; cooperate with legal department on contract reviews if and when required and process contracts within the contract... database.
• Comply with Venator’s policies and procedures, EHS standards, SoX and relevant regulations and law at all time, ensuring best practice at all time
• Provide the Operational Purchasing team with information to raise orders and outline agreements and maintain purchasing data in the system.

Candidate Requirements
• At least 3 to 5 years experience in Purchasing or a commercial experience
• Degree qualified in either Engineering or commercial subjects.
• Significant experience in a purchasing or commercial environment, ideally within a supply chain or related function
• Fluent in English, as well as Italian, Spanish and / or German would be preferred
• Team player with strong communication skills and a result driven attitude
