Lead Software Developer & Architect

Location:

Zurich - Hybrid (60% Home Office)

Remuneration: 160'000 CHF + Company performance bonus

Oliver James is on the lookout for an excellent Lead developer to join a major fin-tech in Zurich, with offices in London, Madrid, and Munich.

Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee teams in planning, monitoring, and executing developments in the project portfolio.

Understand user needs and write specifications using formalism

Develop applications using mainstream applications, mainly Java.

Provide user support and participate in application maintenance.

Participate in designing data models with the DBA team.

Test and validate developments, while cooperating with business analysts.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent.

At least 5 years of proven experience as a development manager.

Must have mastery of development in the Java... environment, including Spring Boot, Open Shift, Apache Kafka and Microservices.

Should have mastery of development in the SQL Server environment.

Excellent system and software architecture design skills and evaluation of on-premise and cloud solutions.

Excellent knowledge of cloud-based infrastructures and technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure).

Expertise with API management solutions and in building API development kits.

Experience with authentication protocols such as OAuth and public-key cryptography.

Knowledge of docker container orchestration.

Fluency in German and English is required.
