Unison Contracting Services is a specialist power, civil and vegetation service provider to Unison Networks and due to rapid growth, we are looking for Planners to join our fantastic teams in Hastings, Rotorua and Taupo.
The Role
As part of the Unison Group, you will act as a key contractor for the local distribution network alongside key service providers, developing systematic plans for essential infrastructure projects.
This will see you working on a blend of site based and office-based work, collaborating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at different levels and contributing to a varied range of small... short-term and large-scale ongoing works.

As a Planner, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects to increase the security of electrical supply in our locations.
The projects include maintaining and refurbishing overhead & underground lines and cables, customer-initiated works and technical jobs.
You will have the unique opportunity to influence a variety of complex projects which will positively impact the community.

About You
Coming from the energy sector, you will have an appropriate industry qualification and bring a practical and process driven approach to planning the execution of projects.
You will enjoy taking a collaborative approach to projects, as the role will see you utilise people skillsets and project resources to best plan the execution of processes.

This may see you coming from a project management position or similar planning or coordination role with the ability to work on a wide variety of projects.
Alternatively, you may be from a field-based role such as a Line Mechanic or Electrical Fitter, looking to bring your practical experience into an office-based environment.
Qualifications/experience required:

Appropriate qualification in Electrical Engineering, Communication or Electrical trade
Experience in power system construction and/or communications systems and Project Management
Or
Field based experience in a role such as Line Mechanic or Electrical Fitter.
