What is your role?

As a Sales Engineer you will... work closely with and report to the Technology Manager, in order to indirectly and directly the sales of lubricants. During the first year you will mainly focus on your technical knowledge. To that end, you will join the Product Application Team in Antwerp on customer visits.

Ultimately, your goal is to support our sales managers, our commercial department and our customers with technical information, presentations, training and support. In doing so, you always keep your eyes open for product and application problems of customers that we can solve with our (new) solutions.

Liaising between sales managers, customers and R&D, you identify market trends and consult with the Product Line Manager. With your strong technical interest you like to continuously improve both sales procedures and customer relations.

Finally, you ensure that technical and marketing documentation, operating procedures and standards are in compliance with corporate guidelines and legal requirements. You have a coordinating role in case of damaged equipment and ensure that Safety, Security, Health and the Environment (SSHEMS) Policy and Guidelines are carried out.

What do you need to fulfil this role successfully?

You completed studies in engineering or chemical engineering

A few years relevant product technical and market experience in a technical/chemical work environment is a plus

Evidently you are extremely customer oriented

You are especially interested in sales and marketing

An excellent command of German and English is required (French and/or Dutch are a plus)

You have a high degree of social competence and are a team player

You are willing to occasional travel within Europe
