Job Purpose Reporting to the Head of Product Content, this interim role has overall responsibility to develop and execute the Practitioner and Advertising product portfolio: Home Surveys, their Licences, ProForms, IBOS Self-Assessment Tool. RICS Recruit and Find a Surveyor, in line with the product strategy. The Product Manager will be responsible for commercial performance, product lifecycles and on-going contribution to the RICS global business strategy.

Key Achievements & Responsibilities - Develop and implement practitioner tools advertising product strategies aligned with RICS goals and the overall product strategy, informed by insights gathered through collaboration with the market, stakeholders and direct interface with customers.
• Ensure strategy is understood by key stakeholders
• Manage product profitability and commercial success
• Develop and execute... product roadmaps and communicate progress, research and implement any requested changes
• Keep the products updated to the agreed SLAs, improving efficiencies and delivery ensuring that they fit with RICS business strategy and are aligned to global standards
• Work with Sales and Marketing, Strategic Partnerships and external sales agency to provide in-depth product briefings, define product placement and pricing strategy for the execution of successful campaigns
• Robust product validation based on in-depth customer insight ensuring the practitioner tools and advertising products have the features that meet the customer needs
• Manage a high performing and engaged team of product specialists, ensuring all team members have clear roles and responsibilities and business plan aligned SMARTER objectives, whilst role modelling the RICS behaviours and providing effective, positively framed feedback on a timely basis
• Manage internal and external stakeholders
• Manage customer complaints
• Manage the product throughout its lifecycle from concept to end of life
• Manage the relationships with external technical companies who are providing home surveys and the IBOS self-assessment tool
• Aligning of products to ensure they are adequately part of the RICS digital landscape

Expected Outcomes
• Achieve or exceed net contribution numbers in the plan for all products within area of responsibility
• Accessible and up to date Practitioner and Advertising Product Roadmaps are in place
• Engaged product team
• Meet or exceed product KPIs set in annual objectives (customer satisfaction, net promoter scores, etc)
• Meet or exceed operational KPIs set in annual objectives (quality, frequency of content updates etc)

Experience Required - Experience of developing and managing commercial products
• Understanding of digital advertising technology, including programmatic order systems and analytics used by our customers.
• Excellent stakeholder relationship management
• Communication skills – ability to articulate views on product vision, strategy and roadmaps with multiple stakeholders
• Understanding of technology and innovation, ensuring aware of latest technology advancements
• Experience in managing geographically dispersed teams, working in a matrix environment and building trusted relationships
• Ability to monitor and report product performance to stakeholders
• Ability to work to multiple and tight deadlines with good attention to detail
• Culturally aware with the ability to operate effectively in a global role and work with teams from diverse cultural backgrounds and expertise
