The British International School, Ho Chi Minh City is a Nord Anglia Education School. The school is currently looking to recruit a:

Science - Biology Teacher

Applications are invited from enthusiastic, qualified and experienced teachers. A minimum of two years’ recent experience of teaching Biology to GCSE/IGCSE and either A level or the IB Diploma programme is essential.

About the Department:

The Science Department at BIS is a forward thinking, collaborative environment. This is typified by our mission statement “we in Science are encouraging students to be independent critical thinkers who are inquisitive about the world around them and learn from their mistakes”. The team consists of highly motivated teachers who are eager to work together to both produce and deliver experiences that develop the student’s skills in scientific enquiry without compromising their acquisition of knowledge. At KS3 students learn through a rich inquiry based curriculum developed in-house, at KS4 students take CIE IGCSEs, they opt to take either the Coordinated Science course or all three sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) as separate courses. At KS5 students take the IB programme choosing either one or two subjects at Standard or Higher Level, many elect to take two science subjects. Subjects include Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Environmental Systems and Societies. The Science department is a rich and rewarding place to work for creative, inspiring teachers.
