Job Description
Next are looking for a Data Analyst to join our expanding Data functions team here within the wider Ecommerce Marketing department. We are looking for an Analyst to provide insights to enhance marketing strategies and building dashboards for monitoring.
You’ll be working closely within our Marketing Analytics team consisting of marketers, Insight Analysts / Data Scientists and Data Engineers. This entails the understanding of business challenges and utilising Data to assist day to day business decisions.
This is a brilliant opportunity and the role would best suit someone with a strong analytical skills, whos enjoys a fast paced and challenging environment.
We offer a hybrid model with ideally 2 days in the office (based in Leicestershire or Manchester) and the remainder remote.
About the role:
As the digital platform has grown tremendously over the years. This newly formed Data team is to cater primarily for the digital marketing division.
The role is to expand... our analytical capability to our Total Platform clients. You will have various stakeho lders from the marketing team to identify opportunities and understand the digital landscape and improve our returns on marketing spend.
You will be responsible for understanding the data available (and working with engineers to pipe in new data if required), and troubleshooting data issues. To do well in this role you need a fine eye for detail, experience as a data analyst, and a deep understanding of the popular data analysis tools and databases.
Responsibilities:
• Communicate findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
• Discover new insights and understanding of business performance based on the Data.
• Identify trends and opportunities from the Data and influence the marketing strategies / roadmaps.
• Develop dashboards to track relevant metrics
• Work with the engineers to improve the data collection process (Data ingestion & ETLs process)
• Supporting initiatives for data integrity and normalisation
• Create presentations and reports based on recommendations and findings
About You:
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or other relevant field.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient at SQL
• Work experience as a data analyst / data science or in a related field
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to visualize data in a propriate and clear manner
• Willing to learn different coding technologies and analytical platforms
• High-level written, verbal communication skills and comfortable presenting and sharing ideas with other team members and stakeholders.
Good to have:
• Python
• Experience using Databricks
• Experience using PowerBI / Tableau
