Peak House is a voluntary, ten-week, live-in, treatment program for youth seeking freedom from problematic substance use. We welcome youth of all genders, sexuality, race, class and abilities, 13-18 years old. For more information about our organization please visit www.peakhouse.ca

Requirements:
• Experience working with youth facing multiple barriers.
• Substance Abuse Certificate and/or Youth and Child Care Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of narrative & solution-focused counselling and/or client-centered, collaborative practices.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Ability to participate in a variety of physical activities.
• Awareness of... practices of cultural accountability, diversity and inclusion.
• Driving (company vehicle) is necessary for this position. Class 5 Driver’s license and abstract will be required.
• Proof of double Covid-19 vaccination status

Assets:
• Experience working in live in setting.
• Knowledge of and/or experience working with mental health and drug/alcohol problems.
• Lived experience and knowledge of working with youth of diverse social determinants of health relating to race, gender, sexuality, class, and abilities
• Current Level One First Aid and CPR.
• Food Safe.

Position to Commence: ASAP
$ 22.50/hr starting salary position, plus excellent extended health benefits.
