Financial and Treasury Controller needed in Bryanston, Johannesburg

Duties & Responsibilities

A well established payment solutions company is looking for a Financial and Treasury Controller to join their ever-growing ranks.

Job and Company description:
My client specializes in payment solution devices and they want a Financial and Treasury Controller who is willing to jump in and hit the ground running and must already be versed on operational processes within an organization and processing monthly journals, prepare reconciliations, cost analysis employee trusts, tax submissions and returns. This particular role will also require the candidate model reporting systems to gauge the impact it has on the business, and where necessary, implement new reporting principles.

As Financial Accountant you will be responsible for:
• Month end processes and reconciliations.
• Management of the accounting system.
• Continuously ensure that all financial records... including expenditure, assets, liabilities, and cash flows are accurate, up to date and processed efficiently, effectively and in a timely manner.
• Compilation and review of Annual Financial Statements
• Annual Audit (Internal & External)
• Design and implement processes, as required, to enhance internal control procedures.
• Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers monthly.
• Successful and accurate on boarding, setup and updating of new and existing merchants.
• Resolving settlement queries.
• Handling any settlement related queries.
• Operational involvement with the business in identifying areas that the finance department can add value and improve processes.
• Reconciling revenue: Ensuring revenue completeness and accuracy. Ensure revenue ties back into settlement and disbursement files.
• Monthly billing: Processing monthly billing file in line with respective disbursement and settlement files as well as merchant agreements,

Job Experience and Skills Required:
• Bcom Accounting
• Minimum 5 years in a full finance function role
