About us:

Hopebotics is a young Hong Kong start-up company located in HK Science and Technology Park, founded by two CUHK professors (prof. Raymond Tong, Professor and Chairman from the Department of Biomedical Engineering; prof. Zheng Li, the Department of Surgery) and Ph.D. students. We dedicate to providing the latest soft wearable robotics for stroke rehabilitation and collaborating with local clinicians and therapists to offer professional rehabilitation guidance and services. We have cooperated with 10+ local stroke associations and rehabilitation centers to conduct product development and clinical training. We are currently supported by the HKSTP (Incu-Bio program) and CUHK (TSSSU).

Job Recruitment: Electronic Engineer

We are looking for an electronic engineer who is passionate about rehabilitation robotics and mechatronics systems and has product design and electronic & embedded system design experience. Designing, testing, troubleshooting, and quality control will be daily responsibilities for this role. Job Responsibility:
• Handle electronic & embedded system design and development
• Monitor the product specification, scheduling, testing, and debugging
• Review and modify circuit design, PCB layout, Arduino/MCU C/C++ programming
• Provide technical advice and onsite and remote troubleshooting
• Quality control inspection of electronic components
• Familiar with sensors used in robotic systems

Skills & Requirements:
• BE/MSc/MPhil/PhD in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines
• Experience in Python/C/C++ programming
• Experience in Embedded Systems (Arduino, Raspberry Pi) circuit and PCB design will be an advantage
• Good knowledge on safety requirements and circuit design in one or more of the electronics areas
• Having start-up experience in robotics, automation, IoT and AI is a plus
• Willing to travel to mainland China when required
• Have good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good team player and strong responsibility
• Experience in rehabilitation robotics is preferable
