As the Lead Clinical Safety Officer, you will be either a qualified Nurse, Midwife or AHP and play a key role in identifying new areas for development, alongside ensuring that technology is used effectively and safely through supporting the safe development and use of Digital health technology and systems within the Trust.

Your priority will be to compile the clinical risk management plan for the trusts electronic health records programme alongside leading, developing and providing the expertise on the Clinical risk Management System (CRMS) and coordinating the clinical safety officers within the Trust.

You will further ensure that the Clinical Risk Management for Digital Health systems policy is followed for all Clinical digital projects/programmes., through closely working with the trust Clinical Safety Officers, you will be involved in reporting, investigating and resolving clinical safety incidents and recommendations on the safety of digital health applications.

You will be... expected to work closely with senior stakeholders. They will report regularly through the Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals Governance structures to avoid silo working, maximise collaboration and communication to ensure the benefits are managed and minimise duplication.

As the Lead Clinical Safety Officer, you will work closely with the Head of Digital Nursing, the Nursing, Midwifery and AHP teams and transformation and change teams across the organisation to support the delivery of the Digital Strategy and the deployment of our EHR.

This will include leading and supporting staff in all areas of the Trust while supporting transformation and change and maintaining patient safety.

When required the Lead Clinical Safety Officer will represent the Head of Digital Nursing and the Trust at relevant professional groups within the trust, across the ICS and Nationally to ensure representation of the Nursing, Midwifery and AHP workforce within the digital agenda.
