Job Summary:
The Facilities Lead is responsible for the reliable and complaint operation of the Facility thru the Integrated Facilities Management model that includes the Hard and Soft Services (i.e. Utilities, janitorial, pest control and landscaping, maintenance worker, Cafeteria and Security services). Also, responsible for Facilities Business Continuity and support the Strategic projects and Capital Investment.
In this position you will provide strategic and technical leadership in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of all responsible areas.
An ideal candidate for this role will have demonstrated experience in managing facilities service providers along with executing strategy within a robust, mission driven, and largely outsourced facilities organization across supply chain or non-supply chain sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversight of IFM Service Provider daily performance and Site operational opportunities participating in the Tier 1, Tier 2, and Supervisor meetings. Identify recurrent opportunities in Site assets/ systems impacting Site operation, assign a root cause and create plan to mitigate/ eliminate the opportunity.
- Acts as Facilities Leader for area improvements, deviations and investigations evaluation, regulatory and compliance audits, and capital justification.
- SME in facilities for pest control, building maintenance, DEA for physical security, workplace planning, drawing management, soft services management, etc.
- Oversight of IFM Service Provider the preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance is performed in the areas of responsibility to maintain them in good functioning to comply with production requirements.
- Provide technical support to the FM Service Provider to maintain the operating procedures of the area of responsibility up to date and oversight the FM Service Provider for the strict compliance.
- Support participating in IFM Governance Meetings and Processes including monthly SMT, inspections and similar.
- Oversight of FM Service Provider during subcontracted jobs to ensure compliance with the established requirements, KPIs, align with the facilities playbook and company policies, as applicable.
- Collects data and prepares periodic reports for management on operational data including but not limited to Pest trends, EHS&S assessments, and facility condition assessment. Lead the FM reports and compliance.
- Provide support of the delivery and financial spending of Capital Projects as required by the projected financial cycle, safely and on time. Responsible as area owner of the project scope definition, technical support, aligned with the long-range plan.
- Actively participates in the development of strategic plans for the operation of the business, department and for the plant.
Qualifications
Education:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business administration or related field.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) license or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Experience & Skills:
Required:
- At least six (6) years of experience working in facilities, maintenance, equipment engineering, and/or process improvement in a GMP product manufacturing plant environment.
- Technical knowledge of facilities management or related fields.
- Compliance Knowledge in EHS, Factory Mutual, and other regulatory standards/regulations.
- Proficient in managing GMP- CAPA, Corrections and Quality Investigations
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Power Point, Microsoft Project, and other specialty software as required.
- Must be a self-starter, able think outside the box, challenge the norm and drive change.
- Ability in change management and to collaborate and build strong partnerships internally/externally with customer focus.
- Good communication, organizational, interpersonal and influencing skills
Preferred:
- Previous Project engineering and Drawing Management experience
- Previous experience managing in-house contractors
- Knowledge on DEA regulations and requirements for facility
- Pest Control Experience
Other:
- Must be able to effectively communicate in Spanish and English (oral and written)
- Requires up to 10% domestic and international travel
