Job Summary

AERCAP is seeking a newly or recently qualified Aeronautical engineer in support of its technical operations in the APAC region. A suitable candidate will be a highly self-motivated individual and must possess a proven strong academic track record. The position will suit a person with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The candidate must be a confident communicator and fluent in English. Familiarity or experience of the working environment within a large commercial aircraft leasing company will be advantageous. The role will involve working across a diverse range of functional technical departments including technical asset management, engine management, engineering and technical support management. The candidate should demonstrate intellectual curiosity and an ability to develop knowledge base and skill set beyond that called for by immediate tasks; push the ‘knowledge envelope’; evaluate results of own work and that of others critically vs purely focusing... on production; continuously question processes and or methods and seek opportunities for improvement; thoughtfully challenge conventional wisdom.

Essential Functions
• Monitoring and management of technical provisions of aircraft and engine lease agreements.
• Identity most appropriate engineering approach to fulfil the delivery commitment.
• Develop detailed engineering/modification schedules.
• Identify together with the Aircraft Specification and Procurement (ASAP) group material for modifications in support of used aircraft transitions.
• Coordinate with Technical Executives to ensure planning, labour, and tooling are in place via regular communications with MRO.
• Review aircraft modifications, repair records, and certification basis.
• Locate and provide engineering documents not available by returning lessee.
• Work directly with other functions within AerCap to provide specialist expertise in support of the delivery and redelivery of leased assets.
• Monitor on-lease engines ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and protect owner asset value.
• Maintenance Reserves management.
• Processing of Maintenance Reserves invoices.
• Review of technical audit report and perform necessary update of aircraft technical specification.
• Assist in the development individual project and long-term fleet budgets and forecasts to support all fleet planning and risk assessment exercises.
• Provide support to internal departments in relation to maintenance reserves, claims, technical specification and technical lease summaries.

Education/Experience

JOB REQUIREMENTS, QUALIFICATIONS, and COMPETENCIES
• Must have an Aeronautical engineering bachelor’s degree.
• Knowledge of the operation of an aviation leasing business is required.
• A portfolio of project work undertaken during academic studies.
