Community Support Workers - Adult Programs

Blossom Support Services is a community focused, disability support company, providing programs and support options for adults and children, living with an intellectual disability. We are looking for compassionate and motivated Community Support Workers to join our tight knit community.

We are looking for highly determined and enthusiastic Community Support Workers to support our adult participants across multiple programs.

About the role

Provide exceptional support and assistance... with all tasks of daily living to our adult participants
Work with participants on 1:1 or 1:2 shifts, on Blossom Day Options, in home and in short-term accommodation
Following support plans, liaising with therapists, stakeholders, and Blossom staff
Maintain participant lead support, ensuring their interests and dignity are being respected
Availability

Mornings, afternoons, weekday work
Must be available to work Mondays and weekend overnights. The ideal applicant will show initiative and be passionate about helping people with a disability achieve more, build independence, and access the community!
To be considered for this position you must have:

NDIS Worker Screening Check
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
Unrestricted Driver’s License and be willing to use personal vehicle
Medication Administration Training (desired)
Experience with positive behaviour support and managing behaviours of concern (beneficial not essential with a willingness to learn)
Up to date Covid-19 vaccination status
