Production Manager - Night Shifts

Location: Gloucester Hours of work: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday between (Apply online only)
Salary: £55,000 + 33.3% shift allowance £73,315

Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Plant Manager this senior site based position will directly lead the Manufacturing activities to ensure alignment with operational objectives and KPIs in relation to Safety, Cost, Quality and Delivery. Develop and manage the Manufacturing Team to achieve goals. This will involve the appropriate application of a wide variety of lean improvement tools eg 5 why problem solving, SMED, 6 Sigma, Value Stream Mapping Preparation and presentation of routine reports (daily, weekly and monthly) on plant performance highlighting any risks and mitigating actions. Support project and activities to improve First Pass Yeld, reduce reworks, improve internal & customer PPM's levels, ensure adherence to procedures and control plans. Experience, attributes & skills sought: Leadership qualification or equivalent experience - ILM Level 4 Leadership experience in a high volume manufacturing environment -ISO13485 desirable Strong knowledge and experience of supporting the implementation of CI principles including Lean Manufacturing techniques, 6 Sigma, dynamic problem solving Strong People Management skills. Engineering background desirable IOSH qualified with a good understanding of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Previous experience of managing capital engineering projects Ability to manage and improve costs Excellent numeracy, literacy and IT skills (MS Office suite and MS Project)
