Electrical Engineer - Derby Area

Torque Consulting are currently seeking an experienced electrical engineer for a market leading

company based near Derby. The company provide complete solutions for their customers on electrical projects. Assisting with development of projects, completing all design calculations,drawings, procurement of material and electrical installation, testing and commissioning and then to providing site support and maintenance teams who can look after our customers site after the project is completed.

The ideal candidate must have experience of industrial projects, project management, have an understadning of costing/cost management.

Responsibilities:
• Understand / define the engineering solutions with the customer and undertake any agreed drawings, design calculations, software etc.
• Manage project budgets, oversee purchasing, avert scope creep, attend project meetings, collate all relevant... technical documents including test and commissioning docs, CAD records and software
• Provide guidance and ‘hands-on’ support for control panel and PLC projects
• Meet existing customers and new potential customers to investigate opportunities and understand their requirements
• Oversee the teams delivering projects and liaise with the customers about progress, variation pricing etc. Provide commercial, technical and project management support to ongoing projects as required

The ideal candidate:
• Electrical Engineer +5 years experience
• HNC/HND Qualified
• Industrial, food or pharmaceutical project experience
• Understanding of cost and cost management
• Project management
• Knowledge of electrical Scoopes
• Hours 40 per week Monday to Friday
