Electrical Design Engineer

London/Guildford - Hybrid

£45,000 - £60,000 DOE plus benefits

Introduction

Astute are proudly working with a leading clean technology integrator and renewable asset developer, owner and operator to source an Electrical Design Engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience in FEED and feasibility studies and experience with CHP, HVAC, Air/Ground Source Heat Pumps and Solar assets.

Roles & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Engineer you will be responsible for:
• Providing technical insight and integration assessment for feasibility studies
• Further developing conceptual designs from feasibility stages to finalise scheme selection
• Defining equipment specifications and scopes of work
• Providing technical support through the implementation period as well as in HAZOP and technical review meetings
• Liaising with DNOs on Supply Applications
• Providing a technical scope of work for subcontractors and supporting on technical queries during... construction
• Providing full design support of various electrical systems to integrate into the built environment

Skills & Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience
• Ideally degree educated in Electrical Engineering or at least a higher education in Electrical Engineering
• Previous work with CHP, Air and Ground Source Heat pumps, HVAC, boilers, compressed air, Solar PV, Wind Generation, Industrial control schemes or similar
• 18th Edition
• Experience with Solar PV sizing and design tools is an advantage
