You will shape and develop the automation of the next generation 5G Network through a variety of cutting-edge software and networking technologies that will transform how networks are built and operated and have an interest in developing open-source software solutions through SRE practices, containers, and micro-services.

What will your job look... like?

You will work with software engineers and other architects to define and refine the solution to align with the business, development, deployment, and maintenance needs.

You will collaborate with the Product Owner and the Scrum Master to manage the team backlog.

You will be a key technical contributor, owning stories and designing, developing, and supporting test automation

You will research, evaluate, and prototype new methodologies, technologies, and products, you will propose and follow through with improvements in processes and tools.

Additional Job Details
• WFH Position that will be supporting EST work hours.
• This is a 6-month contract that will possibly extend.
• Possible FTE conversion down the road.

Some Technical Qualities

Bachelor's degree in Science/IT/Computing or equivalent

Minimum 10 years of experience in software engineering and at least 5 years of experience in QA automation development.

Strong understanding of: o Python o Troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis o Cloud-native and micro-services software architecture (and RESTful APIs) o Networking, and have experience with networking software, protocols, or models (e.g. ONAP, Openstack, YANG, TOSCA, HEAT, Netconf, SNMP, CLI, BGP)

Experience with: o Wireless networks, 5G standalone Core, network slicing, and RAN. o Kubernetes and Docker, understanding container orchestration o Networking, understanding concepts of SDN, understanding how code and networking interact o Test planning, looking for edge cases, understanding design specifications and deriving test cases o Working with Agile Scrum teams

Responsible for the design and development of automation flows in an effective manner

Good understanding of Network Function Virtualization and network automation principles

Exposure to a microservices architecture

Open to testing manually (as required)

Familiarity with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipeline, working with GitLab, Jenkins, Gerrit

Nice-to-have Experience

Robot test automation

ONAP experience is an asset
