Strategic Project Manager
The ecoinvent Association is looking for a Strategic Project Manager with a vision to develop and implement ambitious digital platform business models, and passion for sustainability and data driven business.
Responsibilities

In alignment with Ecoinvent`s strategy and working closely with the CEO:
• Scope and execute strategic projects with a focus on business development and improvement topics (e.g Digital Business models, HR & Organisation, Resource Forecasting, Sales Digitilization)
• Work directly with CEO developing long-term... transformative strategy
• Ownership of annual strategy and budget process and calendar
• During project phases, lead small teams & manage external partners as required
• Reporting directly to the CEO and working across the business it is expected that the Strategic Project Manager will typically be in the office 2-3 days per week initially and builds strong connections with the wider team

Qualifications
• University degree in Engineering/Sciences with an MBA (or equivalent)
• 3 + years experience developing, executing strategic projects in either a consulting firm or internal strategy function
• Strong exposure to platform technology markets
• Digital native with a strong affinity technology and business opportunities stemming from this

Competencies
• Excellent cross-functional leadership qualities – you lead and guide projects with your EQ
• Structured communicator – You can structure and communicate complex concepts verbally, in writing and on slides
• Strong track record for execution – you move past roadblocks to ensure high-quality delivery
• Strong prioritization, organizational, interpersonal, communication, and networking skills
• You are fluent in English (written and oral) and can translate tech-speak into meaningful, business language. German and/or French would be an advantage

Founded by the Swiss research institutes ETHZ, EPFL, PSI, Empa and Agroscope, the ecoinvent Association is an internationally active organization devoted to supporting high quality science-based environmental assessments.

Its activities include publishing and maintaining the ecoinvent Database, which currently contains over 18’500 reliable life cycle inventory datasets covering a diverse range of sectors on global and regional level. The organisation further leads, or participates in, initiatives with the aim of promoting good practice in the creation and use of life cycle inventories around the world.
