The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity within the Bega Foods R&D for a Product Technologist International based at our Port Melbourne office, reporting to Product Manager International.

As the Product Development – International, you will be responsible for leading R&D product development work and supporting international projects from an R&D perspective. as part of Bega Food International's growth strategy targeting key markets globally.

Responsibilities:
• Developing great products, formulations, and processes that meet product briefs for assigned projects
• Completing specifications and associated documents and contributing to product/process assessment against regulations and standards
• Leading product development activities for assigned projects, including preparation of detailed project plans, timelines, experimental design, and management of risks and contingencies
• Guiding the trial, scale-up, and commissioning activities necessary to prove product performance. Including associated administration, risk assessment, and documentation requirements
• Coordinating with 3rd Party Manufacturers to execute new product delivery and support technical solutions.

About you:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science or Engineering or technical discipline
• Solid understanding of Product Design and specifications within FMCG
• Strong change management background and communication skills
• Ability to identify opportunities to improve processes and ways of working
• Problem-solving –the ability to seek out the root cause of an issue and develop solutions.
