Job Description
Are you ready to join an amazing company to manage the CZ&SK Sales and Marketing team to deliver outstanding commercial results? We are looking for a dedicated General Manager who is expected to lead the Czech and Slovakian markets to help us achieve our aim to reach millions of children globally with LEGO® experiences.
Although the business is well-established in this region, keeping the momentum and even maintaining the growth can be a significant challenge. It requires the ability to set and implement a differentiated yet prioritised commercial strategy. Core Responsibilities:
Our General Manager will be responsible for the strategic and operational management of the LEGO business in Czech Republic... Slovakia. It means:
+ Maintain strong growth the business by catering to the demands of our consumers and shoppers, as well as customers across all channels (LEGO Branded Stores, Toy specialist retailers, hypermarkets, drug stores, online retailers, distributors etc.) in an environment that is highly competitive
+ Setting strategic direction which entails to translating the Group strategy into CZSK-specific strategies and designing tangible implementation activities. You must also put a strong focus on leading the operational side of the business and developing the existing and new customer relationships
+ Being responsible for the financial target achievement (consumer sales, revenue and profit) in the business units. You must drive a bold growth agenda in markets and at the same time ensure focus on profitability and strong financial governance.
+ You will lead digitalization of the consumer journey and building e-commerce capabilities across the business unit
+ You will be leading and inspiring a team of 43 people (31 internal + 12 external field sales colleagues) in commercial functions. Key functions reporting to you: Sales including B2B e-commerce and Field Sales, Marketing, Customer Operations. You will be supported by partners in Human Resources and Finance, who have functional reporting lines
+ Our General Manager will be a member of the Market Group leadership team, co-managing 100+ markets across geographies such as Africa, Middle East, Central-Eastern Europe. In that capacity you will be co-responsible for creating the 3-year strategic cycle, being the driver of various market group wide transformation projects and be accountable of the overall business performance and governance
Do you have what it takes?
The ideal candidate is an established general manager with strong commercial background, results orientation & track record. Focussed, business savvy, ambitious and willing to overcome challenges to reach a long-term goal, build trusted relationships and has ability to collaborate across different layers in the organisation. On top of these, they are an inspiring, passionate, and curious individual and leader; open minded and flexible to adapt to changing circumstances; pragmatic and ready to “roll up the sleeves”. They care for people around them and create environment of trust and openness. They should have:
+ In-depth Sales experience in a Consumer Products, Fashion and Lifestyle, FMCG. Consumer-focused e-Commerce industry experience is a bonus.
+ International experience and Global mentality. Experience in working in a matrix Global organisation, preferably with solid knowledge of Central European markets.
+ Having a leadership experience and previous General Manager experience is highly valued.
+ A consistent record of developing successful organizations in a B2B and B2C environment and experience in successfully leading change within an organization in the context of a changing channel and marketing landscape
+ A consistent track record to deliver sustainable business results, building and developing client relationships with distributors, specialist retailers as well as with pure e-commerce players. The past business success is grounded on a strong set of commercial skills
+ Digital savviness and deeply understands the Digital societal transformation of Consumers, Shoppers and Customers. A strong experience in e-commerce is expected
