Job requirements

Languages: English

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounts

Experience: At least 3 years of private equity accounting experience and at least 2 years’ experience in the FIS Investran

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) is an advantage

Operating Systems and Software: Microsoft packages including Power point, Excel and Word

Accountant Specific Skills

Planning workflows against timelines and disseminating to other team members

Responsible for accounting and administration of a portfolio of Private Equity and Closed Ended Funds

Review/preparation of all accounting transactions, management accounts and financial statements including Bank... account reconciliation for a portfolio of Private Equity and Closed Ended Funds

Ability to draft annual financial statements and related ASPE/IFRS/US GAAP disclosures

Preparing/Reviewing capital call and distribution notices

Preparing/Reviewing waterfall and equalization/subsequent closing workings

Respond to client/investor queries and coordinate client’s annual audits

Assist on client service matters, maintaining and building client relationships

New client onboarding and coordination with KYC/Investor Services team

Undertake general administration and other projects as assigned

Review and provide guidance to junior fund accountants on Accounting and Private Equity matters

Assist staff with administrative or technical problems

Additional Skills

Competent accounting knowledge in IFRS and US GAAP

Strong working knowledge of Investran Private Equity Accounting system
