strong Position Purpose strong To drive sales through product category planning and execution of strategic product sourcing procurement and promotional plans as well as gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements managing inventory controls and working closely with suppliers to ensure profitability goals are met for the assigned category strong Key Performance Area 1 Business Performance strong To achieve the sales gross profit Inventory objectives for the assigned category To achieve divisional business objectives for In-store advertising promotional area concessions Negotiate annual contracts and business terms with suppliers for the assigned merchandise category Negotiate promotional items for the merchandise sales promotional calendar with suppliers Ensuring that the buying assistants communicate with suppliers on a regular basis on updating price lists claim price compensations Control the reordering process executed by the buying assistants To evaluate... merchandise assortment and plan the introduction of the new lines phasing out of discontinued lines on a regular basis Analysis implementation of cost management for each store through careful appropriate allocation of product mix merchandise promoters merchandisers via successful negotiation with suppliers strong Key Performance Area 2 Customer Focus strong Assist the management in planning a customer centric layout for the assigned merchandise division Support pre- post sales services by coordinating with support to achieve the targeted CSI Customer Satisfaction Index levels Conduct periodic tours in the stores to get firsthand information about customer requirements in terms of products trends Maximizing customer satisfaction level to go beyond their expectation by timely and desirable actions monitoring customer complaints providing efficient services via supplier coordination relationship strong Key Performance Area 3 People Development strong As a team leader for the division to lead the coordination with all stores suppliers the warehouse for consolidation of POs stock transfers and ensure timely availability of products as per store needs with the support of the Buying Assistant As an Initiator leader for the promotional items campaign to coordinate lead the store sales team marketing division to effectively merchandise the products and ensure that it is correctly displayed priced visually merchandised Lead by example to ensure that staff are motivated and develop a professional pre-planned environment Imparting organizing training programs for achieving pre planned business targets Leading training monitoring the performance of the buying assistant the store staff to ensure efficiency in operations and meeting of his category store targets strong Key Performance Area 4 Quality Excellence strong Work according to the set business operating procedures as well as suggest improvements for the assigned division Adherence to company policies code of conduct and disciplinary procedures Be the ambassador for best business practices ethics and code of conduct and ensure that business is conducted with uncompromising honesty and integrity while dealing with internal and external customers Requirements & Skills:· Minimum of 6-8 years as a Senior Buyer/Category Manager/ Product Manager in a large retail organisation/Specialty Electronics Chain with adequate exposure to retail operations & buying in a multiband-multicategory electronics retail environment.· MBA in business management with specialization in marketing/retail management/purchase management· Negotiation Skills.· Merchandise planning and organizing abilities.· Product knowledge.· Strong communication & interpersonal skills.· Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills.· Well-developed skills in written and spoken English.· SAP System Knowledge
